When We Had What It Takes

Of course, every neighborhood has always had its political groups.  While livelihoods ran the gamut on Rubberneck, there were no shades of gray in the politics; very simply, the homes were either Republican or Democrat.  Likewise, we kids divided into two distinct groups as well: Those Who Wanted to Play Doctor or Those Who Would Tell Everyone’s Parents.  As one of the interested but fearful participants of the latter group (I worried that I might have to include this in my next confessional visit – and would it be a mortal or venial sin?), I didn’t believe participating in the former worth the trouble…
